A variety of genes play important roles in the development of tumors, including the cell surface receptor urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) . uPAR is highly expressed in a variety of tumor cells, and a variety of signals regulated by uPAR play significant roles in tumor cell proliferation and metastasis, tumor-related glycolysis, the tumor microenvironment and angiogenesis. Studies have found that some specific drugs and antibodies have unique inhibitory effects on uPAR.
