Description: Vesicular glutamate transporter 2 mediates the uptake of glutamate into synaptic vesicles at presynaptic nerve terminals of excitatory neural cells. May also mediate the transport of inorganic phosphate.
Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 255-289 from human Vesicular glutamate transporter 2 was used as the immunogen for the VGLUT2 antibody.
