Description
UBE2O, GST-Tag | 79374 | Gentaur US, UK & Europe Disrtribition
Category: Ubiquitination/Activating Enzyme (E1)
Application: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling
Background: UBE2O or ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2O is a part of the ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation pathway in which a thiol-ester linkage forms between a conserved cysteine and the C-terminus of ubiquitin and complexes with ubiquitin. HIV-1 Tat has been identified to have a physical interaction with ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2O (UBE2O) in human HEK293 and Jurkat cell lines by using affinity tagging and purification mass spectrometry analyses (1).
Description: Recombinant full-length human UBE2O, also known as E2-230K, FLJ12878, and KIAA1734. Genbank Accession BC022237 with an N-terminal GST tag, expressed in Sf9 cells via a baculovirus expression system. MW = 90kDa.
