Description: Sepiapterin reductase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SPR gene. This gene encodes an aldo-keto reductase that catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of pteridine derivatives and is important in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4). Mutations in this gene result in DOPA-responsive dystonia due to sepiaterin reductase deficiency. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 1.
Immunogen: A human partial recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids V36-K261 was used as the immunogen for the SPR antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the SPR antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
