Description
SHP-1(PTPN6), GST-tag | 30021 | Gentaur US, UK & Europe Disrtribition
Category: Protein Phosphatase/Non-Receptor
Application: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics and regulation, to dephosphorylate target substrates and for screening inhibitors.
Background: PTPN6 gene is preferentially expressed in a variety of hematopoietic cells, and is an early response gene in lymphokine stimulated cells. The noncatalytic N-terminus of this PTP can interact with MAP kinases and negatively regulates ERK2 and p38 MAP-kinases activity. The PTPN6 was shown to be involved in the regulation of T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling, which was thought to function through dephosphorylating the molecules related to MAP kinase pathway.
Description: Protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1, also known as PTPN6 (GenBank accession number NM_080549), full length, with N-terminal GST-tag, MW=95 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
