Description: Regulator of G-protein signaling 9 is a protein involved in regulation of signal transduction inside cells. The RGS9 gene encodes a member of the RGS family of GTPase activating proteins that function in various signaling pathways by accelerating the deactivation of G proteins. This protein is anchored to photoreceptor membranes in retinal cells and deactivates G proteins in the rod and cone phototransduction cascades. Mutations in this gene result in bradyopsia. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Immunogen: An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Regulator of G-protein signaling 9 (LKSKRVANFFQIKMD) was used as the immunogen for this RGS9 antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the RGS9 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
