Description: Prospero homeobox protein 1 is encoded by the PROX1 gene. It is a member of the homeobox transcription factor family. Members of this family contain a homeobox domain that consists of a 60-amino acid helix-turn-helix structure that binds DNA and RNA. PROX1 is conserved across vertebrates and may play an essential role during development. Altered levels of this protein have been reported in cancers of different organs, such as colon, brain, blood, breast, pancreas, liver and esophagus.
Immunogen: An amino acid sequence from the middle region of human Prospero homeobox protein 1 (KHLAETLKQELNTA) was used as the immunogen for this PROX1 antibody (100% homologous in human, mouse and rat).
Storage: After reconstitution, the PROX1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
