Description: Podocin (PDCN), also called NPHS2, is a protein which lines the podocytes and assists in maintaining the barrier at the glomerular basement membrane. PDCN is a causative gene for Familial idiopathic nephrotic syndromes, which represents a heterogeneous group of kidney disorders, and include autosomal recessive steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome, which is characterized by early childhood onset of proteinuria, rapid progression to end-stage renal disease and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.
Immunogen: Amino acids 368-383 (KPVEPLNPKKKDSPML) were used as the immunogen for this Podocin antibody (100% homologous human and mouse).
Storage: The lyophilized Podocin antibody can be stored at 4oC to -20 °C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
