Description: Programmed cell death protein 4 (PDCD4) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PDCD4 gene. It is mapped to 10q25.2. This gene is a tumor suppressor and encodes a protein that binds to the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A1 and inhibits its function by preventing RNA binding. It also encodes a protein localized to the nucleus in proliferating cells. Expression of this gene is modulated by cytokines in natural killer and T cells. The gene product is thought to play a role in apoptosis but the specific role has not yet been determined.
Immunogen: A recombinant human protein corresponding to amino acids E346-L446 was used as the immunogen for the PDCD4 antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the PDCD4 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
