Description: Phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH) is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydroxylation of the aromatic side-chain of phenylalanine to generate tyrosine. It is one of three members of the biopterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylases, a class of monooxygenase that uses tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4, a pteridine cofactor) and a non-heme iron for catalysis. Deficiency of this enzyme activity results in the autosomal recessive disorder phenylketonuria.
Immunogen: A recombinant human protein corresponding to amino acids R71-H208 was used as the immunogen for the PAH antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the PAH antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
