Description: P2X purinoceptor 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the P2RX5 gene. The product of this gene belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP. P2X5 functions as a ligand-gated ion channel. Several characteristic motifs of ATP-gated channels are present in its primary structure, but, unlike other members of the purinoceptors family, this receptor has only a single transmembrane domain. Quantitative dot blots revealed that P2X5 expression is highest in brain and immune system and is developmentally regulated.
Immunogen: Human partial recombinant protein (AA 333-422) was used as the immunogen for this P2X5 antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the P2X5 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
