Description: N-myc proto-oncogene protein, also known as m-Myc or basic helix-loop-helix protein 37 (bHLHe37), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MYCN gene. This gene is a member of the MYC family and encodes a protein with a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. And this protein is located in the nucleus and must dimerize with another bHLH protein in order to bind DNA. Amplification of this gene is associated with a variety of tumors, most notably neuroblastomas. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Immunogen: Amino acids EYVHSLQAEEHQLLLEKEKLQARQQQLLKKIEHARTC of human MYCN were used as the immunogen for the n-Myc antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the n-Myc antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
