Description: Mucin 1, cell surface associated (MUC1) or polymorphic epithelial mucin (PEM) is a protein encoded by the MUC1 gene in humans. Mucins are O-glycosylated proteins that play an essential role in forming protective mucous barriers on epithelial surfaces. Mucin-1 is a transmembrane protein normally expressed on the apical borders of secretory epithelial cells. It serves a protective function by binding to pathogens and also functions in a cell signaling capacity.

Immunogen: Mouse partial recombinant protein (AA 474-630) was used as the immunogen for this Mucin 1 antibody.

Storage: Thy lyophilized Mucin 1 antibody can be stored at 4oC. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
