Description: Mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 4, also known as mediator complex subunit 4 (MED4), a component of Mediator or vitamin D3 receptor-interacting protein complex 36 kDa component (DRIP36), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MED4 gene. The Mediator complex interacts with DNA-binding gene-specific transcription factors to modulate transcription by RNA polymerase II. The MED4 gene was mapped to chromosome 13 based on sequence similarity between the MED4 sequence and a genomic contig.
Immunogen: A recombinant human protein corresponding to amino acids R27-K140 was used as the immunogen for the MED4 antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the MED4 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
