Description: Proteoglycan 4 (PRG4), also called Lubricin, plays a role in boundary lubrication within articulating joints. Prevents protein deposition onto cartilage from synovial fluid by controlling adhesion-dependent synovial growth and inhibiting the adhesion of synovial cells to the cartilage surface.
Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 176-210 from the N-terminal region of the human protein was used as the immunogen for the Lubricin antibody.
Storage: Aliquot the Lubricin antibody and store frozen at -20 °C or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
