Application Note: The optimal dilution of the recombinant IgM antibody for each application should be determined by the researcher.

1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.

Purity: Protein A affinity chromatography

Description: The IGHM gene encodes the C region of the mu heavy chain, which defines the IgM isotype. Naive B cells express the transmembrane forms of IgM and IgD on their surface. During an antibody response, activated B cells can switch to the expression of individual downstream heavy chain C region genes by a process of somatic recombination known as isotype switching. In addition, secreted Ig forms that act as antibodies can be produced by alternative RNA processing of the heavy chain C region sequences. Although the membrane forms of all Ig isotypes are monomeric, secreted IgM forms pentamers, and occasionally hexamers, in plasma. [RefSeq]

Immunogen: Recombinant protein was used as the immunogen for this recombinant IgM antibody.

Storage: Store the recombinant IgM antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20 °C or colder (without azide).

Localization: Cytoplasm, cell surface, secreted
