Human Tissue Plasminogen Activator | 90248-A | Gentaur US, UK & Europe Disrtribition
Category: Cytokine
Application: N/A
Background: Tissue plasminogen Activator (abbreviated tPA or PLAT) is a protein involved in the breakdown of blood clots. Specifically, it is a serine protease (EC 3.4.21.68) found on endothelial cells lining the blood vessels. It catalyzes the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, the major enzyme responsible for clot breakdown.
Description: Recombinant tPA is a disulfide-linked monomer protein consisting 527 amino acid residue subunits. and migrates due to glycosylation as an approximately 60kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human Tissue Plasminogen Activator mature chain was expressed in CHO cells.
