Description: Protein Hook homolog 2 (HK2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the HOOK2 gene. This gene is mapped to 19p13.13. Hook proteins are cytosolic coiled-coil proteins that contain conserved N-terminal domains, which attach to microtubules, and more divergent C-terminal domains, which mediate binding to organelles. The Drosophila Hook protein is a component of the endocytic compartment.
Immunogen: Amino acids E500-R702 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the HOOK2 antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the HOOK2 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
