Description: Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox B, also known as Transcription factor 2 (TCF2), is a human gene. It is a member of the homeodomain-containing superfamily of transcription factors. The HNF1B protein is believed to form heterodimers with another liver-specific member of this transcription factor family, TCF1. It functions as both a classic transcriptional activator and as a bookmarking factor that marks target genes for rapid transcriptional reactivation after mitosis. HNF1B also can regulate renal tubulogenesis by controlling expression of SOC3. A mutation of the protein that disrupts normal function has been identified as the cause of MODY5 (Maturity-Onset of Diabetes, Type 5).
Immunogen: An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox B (HMAQQPFMAAVTQLQN) was used as the immunogen for this HNF1B antibody (100% homologous in human, mouse and rat).
Storage: After reconstitution, the HNF1B antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
