Description
HIPK3, His-tag | 40110 | Gentaur US, UK & Europe Disrtribition
Category: Kinase-Serine/Threonine/Protein
Application: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling
Background: HIPK3 (homeodomain interacting protein kinase 3) is a member of the HIPK family and is involved in apoptosis (1). JNK regulates the expression of HIPK3 in prostate cancer cells and this contributes to increased resistance to Fas receptor-mediated apoptosis by reducing the interaction between FADD and caspase-8 (2). HIPK3 has been reported to phosphorylate FADD and is implicated in multidrug resistance in a number of tumors. HIPK3 increases transcription factor SF-1 activity leading to increased steroidogenic gene expression in response to cAMP signaling.
Description: Recombinant human HIPK3 (a.a. 163-562), with N-terminal His-tag, expressed by Sf9 insect cells via a baculovirus expression system.
