Description: Desmoplakin is a protein in humans that is encoded by the DSP gene. This gene encodes a protein that anchors intermediate filaments to desmosomal plaques and forms an obligate component of functional desmosomes. Mutations in this gene are the cause of several cardiomyopathies and keratodermas, including skin fragility-woolly hair syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Immunogen: Recombinant human protein (amino acids N69-H2195) was used as the immunogen for the DSP antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the DSP antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
