Description
CTiVd TaqMan RT-PCR Kit | TM50550| Gentaur Distribution US, UK & Europe
Detection kits for Coconut Tinangaja Viroid (CTiVd)
Available in TaqMan format for analysis
Coconut tinangaja viroid (CTiVd) is associated with tinangaja disease, a lethal disease of coconut palm which was first described in 1917 in Guam. This disease resembles coconut cadang-cadang disease, caused by a coconut cadang-cadang viroid (CCCVd), which occurs in the Philippines. The two viroids share about 65% overall sequence homology. Typical symptom of CTiVd include yellow spots on the leaves and the production of small, scarified, elongated nuts lacking kernels.
