Description: CHAT is an enzyme which catalyzes the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This gene product is a characteristic feature of cholinergic neurons, and changes in these neurons may explain some of the symptoms of Alzheimer disease.
Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 98-128 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this CHAT antibody.
Storage: Aliquot the CHAT antibody and store frozen at -20 °C or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
