Description: POU domain, class 4, transcription factor 1 (POU4F1), also known as brain-specific homeobox/POU domain protein 3A (BRN3A), homeobox/POU domain protein RDC-1 or Oct-T1, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the POU4F1 gene. It is mapped to 13q31.1. This gene encodes a member of the POU-IV class of neural transcription factors. This protein is expressed in a subset of retinal ganglion cells and may be involved in the developing sensory nervous system. This protein may also promote the growth of cervical tumors. A translocation of this gene is associated with some adult acute myeloid leukemias.
Immunogen: Amino acids R311-Y419 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the BRN3A antibody.
Storage: After reconstitution, the BRN3A antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
